'MossFieldAnchor was born from a singular vision: to offer real Neapolitan pizza to Via Milano 55. Established by the Bianchi family in 1985, our pizza shop began as a humble, family-owned venture with recipes passed down for generations.
Margherita Bianchi, our creator, mastered the craft of pizza making while exploring Italy, apprenticing with skilled pizzaiolos in Naples—where pizza originated. After returning to the UK, she sought to replicate the enchantment of authentic Italian pizza, adhering to traditional techniques and selecting premium ingredients.
Starting as a quaint pizzeria seating only a dozen customers, we've evolved into a cherished neighborhood feature, yet our dedication to excellence and genuineness has remained constant. Our wood-fired ovens are still used as before, our dough is crafted fresh each day, and we strive to use the utmost quality ingredients available.
Nowadays, 'MossFieldAnchor' continues to be family-owned, with the Bianchi family's second generation at the helm of our enthusiastic team. While we've adopted new technologies, our business's core—creating delectable, genuine pizza that unites people—stays the same.
